Colin with his daughter Catherine and the DR650 on a trial run in the Dargo High Plains Colin and Alan are members of the Ulysses Motorcycle Club and this year the national rally is in Alice Springs. So we naturally had a look at extending our trip. Four years ago the Ulysses Rally was in Albany in WA and we extended that trip into a ride around Australia see www.ozsafari.blogspot.com We had planned to do the Gibb River Road on that trip but the weather caught us out. So for this extended ride we thought we would try the Gibb River Rd again and to get there we had to cross the Tanami Desert to Wolfe Creek. Alan would ride his trusty BMW GS 1200 and Colin had the loan of a Suzuki DR650. So we had the bikes now it was time to plan the trip!
